Braces? Nah.

Braces? Nah.

Here’s how I straightened my crooked teeth for only a fraction of the cost!

Here’s how I straightened my crooked teeth for only a fraction of the cost!

I grew up with crooked, funny looking teeth.

When I was a kid, my classmates made fun of me a lot. I remember seeing my friend Angela smile in front of the class, and I've never been more envious in my life. Her pearly whites were gorgeous! Immaculate, even.

I also recall asking her what her secret was.

“Braces,” she said.

I shivered.

Not because I thought braces were unattractive. But it was because I was absolutely TERRIFIED of the dentist.

I once accompanied my younger sister to the dentist to get her braces. I was present during the entire process. I was just sitting there watching her go through what appeared to be hell. She'd cry, tug on the dentist's coat, and even look at me with pleading eyes, as if she was trying to tell me... “You could have at least saved me.”

She had braces on for three years. She'd have them adjusted every other month, and she'd end up in excruciating pain for days on end - she even left her pizza untouched.

I suppose it was all worth it in the end. She looks amazing. I spent years watching her flash a smile like there’s no tomorrow; just brimming with confidence.

But I can't imagine wearing braces for 3 years (or perhaps even more, given the condition of my teeth).

Braces were also quite expensive at the time. They still are now. And I am NOT willing to pay a fortune to have someone attach metal to my teeth. Not now. Not ever. Nope.

Last month, I turned 29.

I haven't gotten braces yet. I chose to live with my chompers' crookedness. However, over time, I noticed that my teeth were becoming increasingly out of place, making them appear even worse than they already were.

You’re probably thinking: Hey, you’re literally turning 30 in a year - are you still afraid of the dentist? Just get the darn braces!
To answer your question, no. I’m not scared of the dentist. Not anymore.

BUT, can you just imagine a grown woman in her 30s wearing braces? No thank you. It’s not for me.

Do I regret not getting braces when I was younger? Hell yeah. I kept stalling until I was 18… 22… and now 29.

If you’re just like me (which I’m pretty sure a lot of you are), then you probably understand where I’m coming from. I just can’t imagine having to deal with:

I spent a majority of my time in quarantine just staring at my teeth in the mirror. I’m glad I can hide them under facemasks when I’m out running errands.

I was on a Zoom call with some of my old friends once. I started ranting about my teeth and how I don't think I'll ever have the courage to get braces.

One of them decided to cut me off in the middle of my speech.

I could see the shock in her eyes when I looked at her.

As if I'd said something she hadn't heard in eons.

“WAIT, wait wait wait! Stop right there! You’ve never heard of Byte?!”

“Nope. What are you talking about?” I asked.

“Okay. You HAVE to listen to me. Byte is LITERALLY an invisible teeth aligner. It fixed my teeth in 3 months. You wanna know the best part? You don’t have to go to the dentist. And you can remove the aligners at any time! It’s hella cheaper than braces!”

“You’re lying,” You could tell I was in disbelief.

There’s no way this is legit.

Is there such a thing as an invisible teeth aligner?

Isn't that what braces were supposed to do? Minus the “invisible” part?

Ecstatic and confused, I quickly did some research. I really needed to know what the hell she was talking about.

So I found Byte, and here’s what they claimed:

Patients do not have to visit their orthodontist in person for check-ups and progress scans throughout the treatment process. Instead, they connect with an orthodontist via teledentistry services (online). They’ll analyze your facial symmetry to ensure that the aligners are a perfect fit for you.

Byte’s invisible teeth aligners use some sort of technology called HFV (high-frequency vibration) that boosts quick results.

The average treatment time takes 3 months.

Here’s another promise they made:

If your teeth shifted after the treatment, Byte can restore them at no additional cost whatsoever. It’s a lifetime guarantee offered to all customers!

You’re kidding, right?

Oh the skepticism is real. There’s no way this is true.

It’s impossible. I've never heard of this before. My dentist could’ve told me about this.

I scoured the internet for feedback. According to my expert skills (I know, I know, I'm in my girl boss era), Byte had the best reviews of all the companies that offered 'invisible aligners.'

On their website, they had 4.9 stars.

They also received 5/5 stars on other review sites.

If I’m being honest, I’m still a little skeptical about it. It just sounds too expensive and too good to be true.

So I did some additional research (I really just want gorgeous teeth),

And what I found was truly astonishing. Could this be it? Could this be the answer to all my teeth problems?

I found out that other companies that offered invisible aligners would charge patients $5,000, or even more! That’s just ridiculous. It’s waaay out of my price range for sure. And what if it doesn’t work?! I’m not up for the risk.

Byte aligners, on the other hand, cost about $2,000. That’s a huge difference.

The only drawback is that I don't have dental insurance. Paying thousands of dollars for aligners still seemed risky.

However, according to their website, Byte did offer a few payment options.

“You know what? I’ll just ask them myself.”

I shot them a quick email, telling them I wanted to learn more about their aligners, along with the payment options they offered.

Right off the bat, I noticed how amazing their customer service was. They explained it all to me.

The financing plan was the best and only option that piqued my interest.

But I was pretty daunted, since I don’t really have the best credit score in the block. It might make it impossible for me to get approved.

But the universe was truly kind to me, because I discovered that Byte had a 100% approval rating.

That’s it. I’m sold. I’m doing it, guys.

So I finally stopped stalling, and went through the entire assessment process. It only took 30 seconds of my time. Perfect!

The first step I needed to take was to make a mold of my teeth. I didn’t need a dentist to do this, so Byte is getting a couple of plus points for that.

Byte delivered an impression kit right to my door, making my life a million times easier. Everything was completed in the privacy of my own home. It only took me 20 minutes, and I was watching Netflix throughout the process.

A couple weeks later, I received a package in the mail - it was my aligners! That was quick.

I was extremely hyped! After DECADES of avoiding the dentist & completely disregarding the condition of my teeth, here I finally am, about to put on my aligners for the first time. That moment I just knew my life was about to change.

I wore my Byte aligners all week, and I was surprised at how comfortable & invisible they were. Nobody even noticed I was wearing them! I really liked the part where you could take them off whenever you wanted. They are also extremely simple to clean.

The weeks felt like days with the Byte system. Apart from the occasional orthodontist visit, I didn't have to do much to keep track of my progress.

1 month in and I just came to an amazing conclusion - all of my worries were seamlessly solved & addressed by Byte.

You most likely think I'm exaggerating

But believe me when I say that Byte changed my life. And my teeth have never looked better.

Own your smile! Let Byte change your life too.
